Is Tales of the Jedi Getting a Season 2?
Right now, it is unknown if Tales of the Jedi will return for a second batch of episodes. Nothing has been announced, but while there doesn’t need to be more, it would be odd for Lucasfilm to not take this opportunity to tell stories that cover more ground. This is a series that could theoretically stand on its own as a single season, but with a title as broad as Tales of the Jedi, there are so many directions it could go. It feels like this is just the beginning. This first season is focused on the respective personal journeys of Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku, who both must make difficult choices at this trying point in Star Wars history. Dooku teeters between light and dark, eventually succumbing to Emperor Palpatine’s overwhelming influence. Ahsoka, meanwhile, continues her training at the Jedi Temple before a flash-forward takes us to her post-Order 66 activities. It’s fun, but it hardly fulfills everything that a title such as Tales of the Jedi promises. Everything from the reappearance of Yaddle to the return to Ahsoka’s training days is designed to drive hype through the roof, and judging from the reactions online, that’s exactly what’s happening. Keeping that in mind, a Season 2 would seem like a no-brainer. But Filoni has his hands full, especially with Bad Batch Season 2 and The Mandalorian Season 3 so close to hitting the streamer. What do you think, though? Do you think Tales of the Jedi will get a second season? Let us know in the comments section below! Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is now streaming on Disney+.
