Since it’s winter, snow coverage of airports and roads will be fixed with the next patch, while snowy terrain in general will be improved in future updates making it more realistic. We get the new roadmap for 2023, starting with the first “Aircraft and Avionics” Update in January, which does exactly what it says on the tin, with the good folks at Working Title improving aircraft and their avionics....

Despite the name, it’s actually a bundle of three airports in the most extreme south of Italy, Palermo (LICJ) and the island airports of Pantelleria (LICG) and Lampedusa (LICD). You can find them on Contrail priced at €20.40 plus applicable VAT for the bundle, or separately at €10.5 plus applicable VAT each. Giuseppe Nelva First of all, Microsoft released the beta of the update 1.30.5.0, which is the previously-announced “Aircraft and Avionic Update 1” that will be officially released in January. The update brings massive changes developed by Working Title for the GNS 430W and GNS 530W, the Garmin G3000 and Garmin G5000, the Cessna Citation CJ4, and the Cessna Citation Longitude. The Daher TBM 930 also got a slightly smaller but very welcome update....

Speaking of the -600, we hear from CEO Robert Randazzo that it could be released next week if everything goes well. Moving on to the much more popular 738-800, it appears that it’s still on track for a mid-August release (once again, if everything goes well). Apparently, we’ll see more of it soon....

It requires it’s usual preliminary download on the Windows Store or Steam weighing about 500 MB, and then a further download after the simulator is launched weighing 4.72 GB. This update mostly focused on fixing issues related to crashes, weather, navigation, and much more, but it also introduces significant changes to the F/A-18. Mixer’s distinctive feature that sets it excluding competitors, like Twitch and YouTube, is that live streams have an awfully low latency. Basically, characters can fly across the battlefield and fight each other with a wide range of spells and shooting attacks which add elements of “bullet hell” to the game. Touhou Project fans will certainly find them familiar....
