As we all know, Meta-owned Instagram is now working to introduce paid subscription feature for creators that allow people to pay and get membership of their favorite creators so creators can also generate revenue.
Instagram Adds More New Capability For Creators
Earlier, Instagram’s paid subscription feature only creators allow to add stories & hosting live streams for only subscribers. Also, subscribers appear with a badge in the comment section and live chat. The company head, Adam Mosseri, revealed these all features on his Twitter account with a video.
Subscriptions are a great way for creators to have a predictable income & for fans to get exclusive content from creators that they love. This update includes:– Subscriber Chats– Subscriber Reels– Subscriber Posts– Subscriber Home pic.twitter.com/5PzDTcwn8d — Adam Mosseri (@mosseri) July 14, 2022 According to Mosseri, the eligible creator for the paid subscription feature can now publish a post or Reels that will be exclusive to subscribers only. All these from creators subscribers will be on their feed with a badge. And also, there’s a new tab on the creator’s profile page where subscribers can access all the exclusive content, including posts, reels, and past live streams. There is one more exciting feature, Subscriber chats, where the creator can chat with his subscribers, and it is like a community, so all chat members will also be able to chat with other subscribers. And this group chat only allows up to 30 people, and the chat will only be available for 24 hours so that creators can manage to interact with the community. In the beginning, Instagram was testing this feature only in the US for limited creators, but now eligible creators can use this feature. Still, it is limited to the US, and soon we could see it expanding to other regions such as India, Europe, and the Philippines. Even though this feature is under testing, there is no restriction on the number of people who can subscribe to the creator.
