Huawei Developing Its Own New OS To Replace Android
It is no mystery that the well-known Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei is preparing its new operating system to replace the tech giant Google’s most used mobile operating system, Android. The details about these operating systems are coming into the wild. The well-known Chinese media portals reported that the Chinese smartphone brand Huawei is reportedly developing its OS for mobile phones, known as “HongMeng OS,” and will be based on Linux. The company has also been working on expanding its well-known app store, AppGallery, simply to replace the Google Play Store. While the well-renowned media portal, Hong Kong Economic Times cites that the well-known Chinese smartphone brand Huawei already began to plan its operating system, known as HongMeng OS, in 2012 as a replacement for Android. And the fact is that the all-new Huawei, Hongxing OS, will be based on Linux and will keep the EMUI user interface used by the manufacturer.

According to the well-known American news portal Bloomberg, the Chinese smartphone brand Huawei contacted developers simply to attract more applications to AppGallery. The company would provide marketing support and in-app store exposure to China. Using a simple tool that adapts the version published in the Google Play Store would only be necessary. Even Huawei has tried to make deals with several mobile operators. It has also made explicit promises to share some of the revenue from selling apps if they put the AppGallery on their handsets by default.
