Zhiqing Wan
Part of the charm of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is getting to meet and recruit various different characters to your party. Maybe you’re not a fan of the main protagonist –that’s fair, and the good news is that you can swap between them pretty much any time you want.
Switching Characters in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
To switch playable characters in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, all you have to do is hold the ZL button, then press the L or R buttons to cycle between who you want to play as. The character icons will be listed above the L and R button prompts, so just cycle through them until you land on your desired character. This won’t really change anything narratively; the story will play out as intended, and there’s no way to change that. However, it will allow you to explore the world playing as your favorite character in the game, and also control them more directly in battle. Ultimately, the benefit to changing characters in the game comes in the form of being able to experiment with different party setups, and controlling your favorite party member while roaming around the open-world, so feel free to do that as many times as you want. That’s all you need to know about how to switch characters in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game, including the details on all heroes and their classes, how to level up fast, or how to clean clothes and what that does.
